Parents need to know that The Hook Up features examples of silly, iffy, and inappropriate content people post online within the context of a dating show. It's lighthearted, but it reminds folks that what you post online can affect your reputation and be used against you. Featured social media posts and online profiles contain images of folks drinking and getting sick, wearing thongs, and engaging in some lewd behavior.
Some mildly violent behavior (like someone getting tasered) is visible, too. Words like 'hell' and 'ass' are audible, and curses are bleeped. Teens will be drawn to it, but the content is edgy enough to make it an iffy choice for tweens. Hosted by Guy Code's Andrew Schulz, THE HOOK UP is a game show that features singles sifting through social media and other online content to find the perfect date. During the course of three rounds, a man or woman gets to ask potential dates questions about who they are and what they like. They also get to review their social-media and dating profiles.
After each round, the single person eliminates one of the potential dates. At the end of the game, the last date remaining gets to hook up with the single person but not before reviewing his or her online stuff to determine if s/he is someone worth going out with.

The Hook Up Plan (French: Plan Coeur) is a comedy web television series and the second French series produced for Netflix after Marseille.[1][2][3]
The show premiered on December 7, 2018, and Season 2 premiered on October 11, 2019.
Premise[edit]
Elsa, on the verge of turning thirty and stuck in an uninspiring job, finds herself still hung up on her ex-boyfriend two years after their breakup. Her friends, hoping to help her break out of her rut and find some confidence, decide to hire a male escort to take her on a few dates.
